A Little Bit About Me...
As a young woman over 6’2” in height, I have always known what it’s like to be afraid to stand up fully, especially after fighting a chronic illness throughout my childhood.
Now, I write YA contemporary stories full of relatable romance and deep themes for girls who are finding their voice. I wants to encourage them that their story matters—they matter—and inspire them to live courageously, despite the struggles they face.
Outside of writing, I spend my time around coffee, children, food, and the beach! (I think I'm solar-powered and would love to move to an island in the Caribbean ;)
A Little Bit About My Stories
I promise to write stories that:
- Provide endings that inspire courage and remind us that dreams are worth chasing.
- Showcase strong female characters that are confident in themselves, showing us we can be too.
- Craft deep, meaningful, and healthy relationships that provide realistic pictures of real life romance and falling in love, with enough balance between humor and reality to make readers both laugh and cry.
- Hone prose to be both lyrical and poetic without becoming too heavy or boring.
- Create plots that are engaging and exciting, while still leaving room for the soft, sweet, quiet moments.
- Take the time to develop raw, relatable characters that readers can feel seen and known in.
- Make space for the heavy weight of our real world while always pointing toward brave and bold hope.
